Lauren S. Davis, CPA
President
Lauren S. Davis is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ball State University. Lauren has over thirty years of public accounting experience, three of which were as a tax partner with McGladrey & Pullen, a national accounting firm, and five as a partner in a local firm, Westfall & Davis, CPAs. In 1996, Lauren started Lauren Davis & Company, CPAs, PC.
Lauren is active in various community and professional activities. She serves as and Treasurer of the South Bend Alumni Association, and on the Boards of Directors of Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, St. Claire Darden (Healthwin), Huff Foundation and Munn Foundation. She is, also, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Indiana CPA Society.
Lauren concentrates in consulting for the closely held, entrepreneurial business and its owners. Her experience includes a variety of industries such as manufacturing, medical, retail, construction, real estate development, and service that range in size from fees/sales of $100,000 to $50,000,000.
Teri L. Sunderman, CPA
Tax Manager
Teri L. Sunderman is a certified public accountant with over thirty years of experience in public accounting, primarily in the area of taxation. She was a Senior Tax Manager with a prominent Boston area firm. Teri has worked extensively in the areas of Subchapter S corporate taxation as well as estate and trust taxation, and tax planning for the closely held business. She is the author of an article in The Tax Adviser titled "GRAT Planning with S Corp. Stock".
Her industry experience includes medical, construction, real estate developers and manufacturers.
Teri is certified in Indiana and Massachusetts and is currently a member of the Indiana CPA Society, the AICPA, and the Michiana Estate Planning Council. She is also a member of the AICPA Tax Division. Teri graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.
Heather R. Birky, CPA
Audit and Accounting Manager
Heather R. Birky is a certified public accountant with over twelve years of public accounting experience with Lauren Davis & Company. She graduated from Goshen College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
As the audit and accounting manager, Heather concentrates on assisting clients with accounting issues and is responsible for financial reporting such as compiled, reviewed or audited financial statements. Heather is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has trained and assisted clients in using the following software programs:

She is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the AICPA.
Jennifer C. Hockenhull, CPA
Senior Accountant
Jennifer Hockenhull is a certified public accountant with over seven years experience in public accounting and seven years in private industry. She graduated from Indiana University – South Bend with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and received her CPA certification in November 2010. Jennifer worked in private accounting for 6 years prior to starting her public accounting career with Lauren Davis & Company in 2009.
She has extensive experience in manufacturing, construction and service sector accounting. Jennifer has extensive experience in performing audits, reviews and compilations and related tax work for clients assigned to her and has trained clients on fixed asset management and Quickbooks software.
Brian R. Davis
Staff Accountant
Brian joined Lauren Davis and Company in March, 2011. He received his accounting degree from Western Michigan University in December 2008. Brian has had over two years of industry experience and is working to complete the requirements for CPA certification.
Laura E. Roggie
Staff Accountant
Laura joined Lauren Davis & Co in October 2011. Laura has two years of public accounting experience and one year in higher education. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Goshen College in May 2008. Laura is working to complete the requirements for CPA certification.
